E-Government Gateway

I did not receive the verification code via SMS, what should I do?

When logging in to the system with two-factor authentication, the verification code you are asked to enter is sent via SMS to your identity-verified mobile phone number. First, make sure that the mobile phone number displayed on the verification code entry screen is up to date.

If the verification code is not entered within the time shown on the screen, the “Resend” button will appear. If you do not receive the SMS, you can click this button to request it again. If you still do not receive the SMS, please check the following on your phone:

Ensure that there is no application installed on your phone that blocks SMS messages.

Make sure your phone has network coverage.

Contact your operator to check the SMS settings of your line.

If you still cannot receive SMS despite performing the above checks, you can log in to the system using one of the following methods:

1. Login with a backup code:
To use this method, you must have previously generated a backup code. If you still have an unused backup code, after logging in with your e-Government Gateway password or through internet banking, you can select the backup code login option to access the system.

2. Login with mobile signature, e-signature, or smart ID card:
If you are able to log in to the e-Government Gateway with a mobile signature, electronic signature, or smart ID card, you can use one of these methods to access the system without the need for two-factor authentication.

If you still cannot receive SMS after performing the checks and trying the methods above, you can visit any PTT branch or Türksat Cable Subscriber Center with your ID card to disable the two-step login feature.
You can also disable the two-step login feature by using your chip ID card at nüfusmatik devices.
